According to West Mercia Police, officers discovered a man with life-threatening injuries on Barbourne Road, Worcester, at approximately 4:15 am on 25 November. He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries later that day.

Indian media — citing family sources — name the deceased as Vijay Kumar Sheoran, a resident of Jagrambas village in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. Earlier this year, Vijay reportedly resigned from his post at the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) to pursue an MBA at the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol).

Five men, aged between 22 and 35, were initially arrested on suspicion of murder and later released on bail, while a sixth man has been released with no further action. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
