Mumbai Police: ANC Summons Influencer Orry in ₹252 Crore Drug Case

In a high-profile development, Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has summoned social media influencer Orhan “Orry” Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, for questioning in connection with a ₹252-crore drug case.
What’s the Case About?
The drug case probe centers on a major mephedrone (commonly called MD) seizure from a clandestine manufacturing unit in Sangli district, Maharashtra. Authorities seized 126.14 kg of MD, valued at approximately ₹252 crore.
The ANC has asked Orry to present himself at its Ghatkopar unit at 10 AM for questioning.
Why Was Orry Summoned?
Orry’s name surfaced during interrogations of a key suspect: Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh alias Lavish, who was deported from Dubai and is now in custody. Shaikh allegedly organized lavish rave parties in Mumbai, Goa, and Dubai, attended by a mix of Bollywood celebs, socialites, and influencers, according to police sources.
The ANC is investigating whether Orry had direct or indirect links to this narcotics syndicate, as claimed by Shaikh
Who Else Is Under the Scanner?
Other high-profile names also have been alleged in the drug case, including Bollywood stars Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, producer duo Abbas-Mustan, rapper Loka, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. Investigators are now working to verify Shaikh’s claims by cross-checking various evidences.
Orry’s Public Profile
Orry, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani, is a prominent figure in India’s influencer space — known for his strong social media presence, flamboyant personality, and close ties with Bollywood’s younger generation. He is the son of businessman Suraj K. Awatramani, who has interests in real estate, hospitality, and beverage manufacturing.
Notably, this is not Orry’s first controversy involving substances. Earlier this year, he was booked by Jammu & Kashmir Police for allegedly consuming alcohol at a hotel near the Vaishno Devi shrine — a place where such behavior is prohibited.
The ₹252-crore drug case is among the most significant busts in recent times, highlighting the scale of synthetic drug trafficking. Orry being summoned shows how influencers and socialites may be under closer scrutiny in major crime investigations. If proven, the case could expose elite networks allegedly involved in drug-fueled get-togethers
